Weekly News… October 18th

Words of Truth and Hope on a Friday morning.  My prayer is that this passage encourages you today.

“I love the Lord because he hears
    my requests for mercy.
I’ll call out to him as long as I live,
    because he listens closely to me.

The Lord is merciful and righteous;
    our God is compassionate.
 The Lord protects simple folk;
    he saves me whenever I am brought down.
 I tell myself, You can be at peace again,
    because the Lord has been good to you.”
Psalm 116: 1-2, 5-7 (CEB)
A few of you have been asking to see that beautiful Thanksgiving video that Dixie produced, that we shared with you during last Sunday’s Worship service.  I’ve put it up on our website, so you can watch it again or perhaps even share with your family.  Click here for the direct link to the video.  (You can also find the link on the top menu bar on the home page of the website.)

Due to life and harvest circumstances, the Fall Congregational Meeting has been RESCHEDULED to Tuesday November 5th at 7:00pm.  Please make that change in your calendar and thank you for your understanding & support.

This Sunday is our Neighbor Outreach Wetaskiwin Giving Sunday.  Blayne will be sharing about this ministry and the importance of it in our community.  If you would like to financially support Neighbor Outreach, please make your cheques payable to ‘NOW’.

If you’ve been thinking and praying about getting involved in a Small Group this year, but are unsure of the options, click here to see a list of the groups.  Contact the group leaders if you require more information.  Or if you have an idea for a Small Group, please talk to Steve R.

As always, the coffee and tea will be hot and waiting for you when you arrive.  Please help yourself.
