Weekly News… Nov. 22nd

Have you ever questioned where time has gone?  Or asked yourself how you could possibly be at “this stage of life” already?!  Well that’s where I’ve been this week.  Remembering my son’s birth, this week 25 years ago, while at the same time holding my brand new, precious little grandson.  During our staff meeting this week, Pastor Randall read this verse from Psalm 139:

You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

Psalm 139:16

It got me thinking of how God knew about that day of wonder that I would have this week, long before I had it.  He knew about the son and grandson that would be part of my family.  And He not only knows all of my days, but He also knows all of my son’s and grandson’s days as well!

We serve a great and mighty God who not only knows and cares about the ‘big things’ in this world, but also about every detail of our day.  And this love and care that He has for us, no matter our age – young or old – will never stop.  It will continue each and every day.  What an incredible love He has for us!

This Saturday, please join us at 10:00am for an informative presentation with guest speaker, Theresa Ng from Parents for Choice in Education ( Learn about sexuality and gender resources being used in Alberta schools that challenges and contradicts a biblical understanding. Mrs. Ng will also cover policies and legislation pertaining to these issues. Babysitting, snacks and coffee will be provided.

The C.E. Board is cooking again!  Join us on Sunday at 9:30am for another Pancake Breakfast.  Sunday School classes will follow the breakfast time.

Then at 11:00am we’ll be worshipping together with songs, prayers, scriptures and a message from Pastor Randall. Immediately following the service, there will be a practice of the advent children’s concert.  All teachers & children involved (preschool to grade 6) are asked to stay for the practice.  For those of you who aren’t taking part in the practice, please join us downstairs for coffee, goodies and fellowship.

Take care & have a great weekend!
