A suggestion for how to use
“Scattered But Worshipping Together”
At 11:00am on Sunday morning, we plan that all of us – individuals, couples & families – will gather together around God’s word. We’ll each be in our different spaces in our homes, but we are still together – part of the Body of Christ.
Setting aside time to worship together is an act of discipleship. It’s an act of declaring our allegiances to God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Beloved Holy Spirit. If you have a family group or couple, share the readings around. If you are an individual, saying the words out loud can help with presence. But make it your own; use it as you want to. As you move through the service, if there are thoughts to engage with, we encourage you to do that.
You may want to light a single candle. This is what we have been doing at Malmo – lighting the Christ Candle. A reminder that Jesus himself is with us, no matter where we are.
We’ll be praying for you. Email us and let us know how it goes, maybe send us a few pictures or video from your worship time. We’d love to hear from you.
