The other day, this prayer by St. Francis of Assisi was shared at the end of a podcast that I was listening to. I’ve heard it before, but the words struck me deeply that day, with all that is going on in the world. So I wanted to share this beautiful prayer with you. My hope is that it will encourage you to continue to shine your ‘light’ brightly today.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
~Saint Francis of Assisi

HOWEVER, we will email you by 9:30am on Sunday morning and let you know what the final decision is as to the location of the worship service. (Reminder – if the service is outside, please bring your lawn chairs and dress for our Alberta weather.) As always, we encourage you to wear a mask, if you aren’t able to maintain the 6′ physical distance requirement. (Masks are available at church, if you don’t have your own.) Here are this week’s Song Sheets, if you’re interested in putting them on your digital device before Sunday.
As Covid-19 is still in our province, we need to remind you that you must not attend in person if you are experiencing the most common symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat).
We also understand that you might not be ready to come and worship with us in person – and that’s okay! We plan to have an online service prepared that we hope you will engage with. You can find it here on our website.
Take care Folks!
