Congregational Care

Congregational Care

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ
…as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone,
and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:2, NIV)

One of our values is caring for our church families, neighbours and community. The following are just some of the ways that this care plays out:

Prayer Chain – prayer is a central part of what we do as a church. Prayer is central to our Sunday morning worship, where we take time to celebrate our joys and share our griefs and struggles in prayer. We also have an active prayer chain. If you have a prayer request for yourself or someone you know that you would like us to pray for, email us with your request through our Prayer Request page, and people will be praying soon.

Benevolence fund – We have funds available for those in our community with pressing needs. If you have such a need or know of someone with such a need, please contact the deacons through our church office at office@malmochurch.ca

Deacons – Our deacons are charged with the spiritual care of our church community. Each deacon cares for specific individuals and families in our congregation, praying for them, checking in on their needs and concerns.

N.O.W. – Neighbour Outreach Wetaskiwin (N.O.W.) is a Wetaskiwin community outreach organization, providing food for the hungry, clothing and furniture to those in need, and the Good News of the love of Jesus to everyone. Members of our congregation both volunteer at and give financially to this ministry.
