Weekly News-April 3

I just want to share a word from the WORD, to encourage you today.  Read it slowly.  Allow the truth of these words to fill your mind and heart today…

“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” ~Ephesians 3:16-18

We are heading into Holy Week and all that entails.  Keep watching your emails for updates and news of ways that you and your family can engage during this special and important week of our Faith.  You can also find any updates and information on our website, as we update the site regularly.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday and Communion.  Pastor Randall asked me to remind you to have some bread and juice available, as you join us IN YOUR HOME at 11:00am for “Scattered but Worshipping Together”, with Communion.  He’ll be sending you all the details in an email on Saturday – which will also include a link to a new ‘Children’s Singalong & Bible Lesson’ that Pastor Marc is putting together for the kids.  (And may I encourage you adults to watch it as well!  It’s a lot of fun to see!)  Remember too, that all of these devotionals are available on our website at: www.malmochurch.ca/scattered-but-worshiping-together/.  (Scroll down on the page to see ALL the information.)

We are in Week 6 of our Lenten practice already!  Click here to engage with this week’s practice, “Listening to Our World”.

If you have any prayer requests or praises or pictures to share with us, please send them to me via email at: office@malmochurch.ca or text them directly to me at 780-312-4620.  I’ll be sure to get your requests included in next week’s Friday Weekly News and your pictures added to our Malmo Photo Gallery.

Thank you for continuing to support the work and ministry here at Malmo – with your words of encouragement, your prayers – and with your financial gifts.  Online Giving is available, or if you’d prefer to send a cheque through the mail, please send it to: Malmo Mission Covenant Church, RR #2, Wetaskiwin AB, T9A 1W9.

We love you and miss you all, and we will continue to pray for you during this unknown season that we are all in.

Take care,
Delora
