“Stay awake, stand firm in your faith, be brave, be strong.
Everything should be done in love.”
~1 Corinthians 16:13 & 14

Christmas is drawing closer as we continue our journey through Advent this week.  This Sunday is the Fourth and final Sunday in Advent, where we will be lighting the Candle of Love.  The Christmas story makes no sense without considering ‘love’ and the incredible overwhelming love that God has for us.  He humbled himself to leave paradise and glory to come to earth and be born in a stable.  IN A STABLE of all places!  We’ve had livestock for many years on the farm, and as most of you know, a barn (stable) is really not the nicest of places!  It can be noisy, (have you ever heard 3000 turkeys chirp at the same time?!!) smelly and simple with not a lot of extras beyond food, water and bedding.  But yet, this is where the God of the universe chose to come, thus beginning the story of redemption for you and for me.  Love is the fabric of God that He shares with us.  And as we accept Him, His love flows through us to then share His love with others.  A beautiful plan that He invites us to be part of.  Loving others doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated.  It came be the simple things that makes the most difference in someone else’s life.

As we remember God’s gift of love to us, how can we show God’s love to others, in simple but real ways in the coming days?

Are you looking to enjoy a little Christmas music and cheer? If so, consider watching THIS VIDEO from this year’s Christmas Presentation at Capernwray Hall in England.  Our own Lois Schultz takes part in this special Christmas Presentation.
