Weekly News-Feb 11th

Hello Malmo Friends,

If you don’t know already, as I stumble about here trying to find where to type this text, this is not Delora typing. 😉 I asked our interim Admin person Lauralea if I could say a few things here today. She was kind enough to let me at it. So here we go.

God is in it.

This is a challenging time for us and I want you to know that God is in it.

The new Church Board is up and running, and planning some good direction for us. God is leading His church.

I continue to get rested and caught up from my work this season, and every time I need an insight, devotional, sermon or word of encouragement, God is there answering before I even utter the need in prayer.

The transition from Delora being done to who would be next to do this work seems to have been made without much burden or struggle. God is right there providing as well. You’ll hear more of this in the days ahead.

God centred and blessed worship is happening. Individuals are initiating new prayer opportunities. You are caring for one another, and people are taking one another’s faces in their hands, and blessing them. (See the sermon from Feb. 6, 2022)

I want you to know that God is at work here. God IS in it.

Our Daily Prayers are back up and running after I was away at meetings. Come join us as we complete our look at the letter of Hebrews. This past week we looked at

What to do when our world is shaking?
How we can practice our faith?
What two important parts of life to guard,
Who do we let point us to Jesus? and
How to know peace in seasons of distress and grief.

We also cover somewhat less important themes as what does Environment Canada think it’s doing with the Weather? How you can feed a small village with a Costco muffin, and some recipe ideas including Fettuccine Alfredo, and what’s your favourite pizza.

The Board is following the changes in the guidelines for meeting together this Covid season so you will see a few more chairs set up for worship on Sunday. There are no longer capacity limits however face-masks are still required. Going forward, in terms of space and levels of engagement, we want you to continue to practice what you are comfortable with.

/

Join us this Sunday for Sunday School at 9:30am and for our Worship Service at 10:30am.

We continue to do our part and observe the Provincial Covid guidelines. There will be no capacity limits, but face masks are required. If you are unable to join us in person, feel free to check out our Livestream option, available HERE.

IF there are any changes to this week’s Sunday School or Worship Service, you will be contacted via email by Saturday night.

Blessings,
Pastor Randall
