Weekly News-Feb 5th

We have much to be grateful for, don’t we?  For me it’s been a week of self-reflection as I celebrated another birthday.  Birthdays, anniversaries and special events often cause me to pause and reflect on the days gone by and contemplate the days ahead.  As I reflected on this past year, my first thought was of Covid and how it has changed life dramatically in so many ways.  But when I looked beyond the fog and disturbance that Covid had created, I saw how God had moved and answered prayers and provided for me in SO MANY WAYS.  I am in awe as I realize once again how I am covered by His love for me.  And He gently reminds me that no matter what the circumstances are surrounding me, it’s important not to get lost in the ‘fog’ but to live each day with gratefulness.  God is good – yesterday, today and tomorrow too.  He is with us and He will continue to work in lives and hearts – mine included. ♥️

Do you enjoy Big Band music?  If so, you might want to watch this concert!  Our own Madeline Vandersluys performed in the MacEwan Music Program’s Big Band Concert, last weekend.  If you’d like to watch the video and enjoy some super fun music, CLICK HERE.

This Tuesday at 6:30pm is the first ALL Boards meeting of the new season.  There will be a lot of ground work set that night, so we encourage all board members to make time to attend this important meeting.

THIS SUNDAY, we will be meeting together at Malmo for our 10:30am Communion Worship Service.  We’ll be gathering together at the Lord’s table.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP to office@malmochurch.ca  by Saturday at 6:00pm.  We will have limited number of seats available on the main floor (27), balcony (9) and basement fellowship room by TV (23).  Seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis on Sunday morning.  (RSVP’s are still necessary, although we won’t be telling you where to sit.)  If you have any questions, please contact Jeremy Pluim at 780-312-4236.

If you are not quite ready to join us in-person, that is ok!  Please join us virtually for our live-stream service at 10:30am.  You can access that service HERE.

Take care,

Delora
