“We draw people to Christ not by loudly discrediting what they believe, or by telling them how wrong they are and how right we are, but by showing them a LIGHT that is so lovely that they want with all their hearts to know the source of it.”
Today, let’s be that LIGHT. We can do this by simply thanking the cashier next time we’re in the grocery store, smiling at strangers as we maintain our Covid social distance, share the surplus from our garden with someone who might need or enjoy it, call a friend to check up on them…the ways and options are limitless. I’m confident that God will give us ideas, creativity and courage as we continue to share His Light in these days of uncertainty and challenge.
This Sunday is our Scattered but Worshipping Together’ Communion Service. Feel free to have some crackers or bread and some juice or wine ready as Pastor Randall will be leading us to the table to celebrate Holy Communion. He will be emailing you all the service details tomorrow. Or you can always access the service directly via our website at: www.malmochurch.ca/scattered-but-worshiping-together/
Everyone is invited to a “Come & Go” Wedding Shower, on Friday, June 12th from 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Doell Farm, to celebrate Dana (Doell) & Connor (Bayduza)’s August wedding. If you are comfortable, feel free to have a socially distanced visit with neighbours outside in the yard. Or if you prefer, drive by in your car and share your brief well wishes with the happy couple. This will be an OUTSIDE event, maintaining Social Distancing with 50 people or less. Contact the organizers, Charlene or Ruth if you have any questions. (If the weather is rainy, the event will be rescheduled to June 19th.)
Do you have any pictures to send me? We received a new one of Bert this week. Click on the Malmo Photo Gallery to see him and all the photos that we’ve been gathering. Feel free to send me photos ANYTIME via email at: email@example.com or text them directly to me at 780-312-4620.
Thank you for continuing to support the work and ministry here at Malmo. Online Giving continues to be available. We also accept donations via cheque, so if that is your preferred method, you can continue sending it through the mail, to: Malmo Mission Covenant Church, RR #2, Wetaskiwin AB, T9A 1W9.
Take care Folks,
