I’m not sure how your day has gone, but mine has been pretty stressful and challenging. So I decided to look up bible verses on encouragement and peace, and found this one from John 16:33. It reminded me again that, YES, Jesus knows all about the trials that we are going to face. He knows about Covid-19 and the grief and challenges that it would bring to every part of our lives. But, the BEST part of this verse is: “…but take heart, because I have overcome the world.” Amen and amen! Jesus has got this. He’s got me and He’s got you. And yes, it still means that we might have some really bad days, but they don’t need to crush us and they don’t need to defeat us. So I will breathe in this truth today and thank Jesus for His goodness and for the peace that He brings. ♥️
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” ~ John 16:33
Due to the new Alberta Government restrictions on worship gatherings, we must remind you that if you wish to attend IN PERSON to our 10:30am Sunday Worship Service, you MUST RSVP to email@example.com before Saturday evening at 6:00pm. The attendee list will be compiled on a first come first served basis. This new process will continue for the foreseeable future, until the restrictions have been lifted.
As always, we encourage you to wear a mask, if you aren’t able to maintain the 2 metre physical distance requirement. (Masks are available at church, if you don’t have your own.)
As Covid-19 is still in our province, we need to remind you that you must not attend in person if you are experiencing the most common symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat).
We also understand that you might not be ready to come and worship with us in person – and that’s okay! We encourage you to join us online instead! You can find our ‘Scattered but Worshipping Together’ service HERE.
