Weekly News-Sept. 18th

“Dear friend,
I’m praying that all is well with you and that you enjoy good health in the same way that you prosper spiritually.”
~ 3 John 2

During this time of Covid-19, I don’t always see you as often as I would like, but you are never far from my mind.  So when I read this bible verse from 3 John 2 this week, it made me think of all of you – the people of Malmo.  I hope you are doing well.  I am praying for you – for God to give you the strength and joy that you need for each day. ♥️

Our Youth Kick-off Night is THIS WEDNESDAY at 6:30pm. (Notice the time change!).  All Junior and Senior High Youth are welcome to come for pizza, games and fellowship.  An email with the details is being sent out to all youth and youth parents.

Pastor Randall has this announcement for you:

“I’m sure you’ve seen the camper and know that our daughter and family are at the parsonage. To comply with the quarantine act, they can’t see anyone or have any visitors until their quarantine time period is completed. If you want to welcome them or drop something off, please coordinate with them so their quarantine isn’t compromised. They are very grateful for your care and compassion and welcome in this time.  You can coordinate by phone 780-352-8113 or email johannacroes@gmail.com

Pastor Randall and Lauralea are still away on vacation until October 5th.  Please continue to pray for their safety and rest during this time away.

This Sunday is our ‘Tearfund Canada Giving Sunday’.  If you’d like to financially support Tearfund, you can make your cheques out to ECCC (memo: Tearfund), and give them to Andy and he will send them to the Conference for you.  OR you can make an online donation at the Conference’s donation page HERE.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 am for our Worship Service.  If the weather cooperates, we will be having our worship service outside.  HOWEVER, we will email you by 9:30am on Sunday morning and let you know what the final decision is as to the location of the worship service.   (Reminder – if the service is outside, please bring your lawn chairs and dress for our Alberta weather.)  As always, we encourage you to wear a mask, if you aren’t able to maintain the 6′ physical distance requirement.  (Masks are available at church, if you don’t have your own.)  Here are this week’s Song Sheets, if you’re interested in putting them on your digital device before Sunday.

As Covid-19 is still in our province, we need to remind you that you must not attend in person if you are experiencing the most common symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat).

We also understand that you might not be ready to come and worship with us in person – and that’s okay!  We plan to have an online service prepared that we hope you will engage with.  You can find it here on our website.

Take care Folks!
